Supervision and Public Speaking
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and offer clinical supervision to new Social Workers in the field of eating disorders. I have a passion for teaching and find clinical supervision to be an important piece of professional development. I pride myself in being understanding and open minded. Our supervision sessions will be structured to address any current clinical cases you may be working with as well as looking at case studies relevant to your field and interests.
Public speaking is something that I have grown to love over the years. I first began public speaking in my undergraduate studies at UMass Lowell. I believe that creating awareness about eating disorders and the treatment of eating disorders can be life changing for those who are faced with an active eating disorder and do not know what resources are available to them. I have presented clinical trainings as well as more casual lectures at colleges and health centers. If you are interested in either a professional training or educational lecture please contact me to discuss details further.
I first found my way to the yoga mat in the summer of 2005 while working at Walden Behavioral Care’s inpatient treatment program for eating disorders. I was humbled to see people in great pain finding solace in the yoga practice. I began to play around with my own practice, enjoying the space it gave me to feel strong in my body and recently opened my own studio, Mindful Body Yoga, in Andover. My goal for each class that I teach is to bring awareness of ourselves, how we stand and how we speak off our mats and into the world.
